Zippy, Cardiff
Zippy, like many cats, is extremely curious. The photo shows him – he’s the black and white cat - leading his little friend Merlin into trouble.
They have climbed up to the first floor of a semi-derelict house and are ‘studying’ the pigeons roosting in the roof space.
In good weather, Zippy only comes in to the house for a quick feed, preferring the nearby field and gardens. His adventurous spirit takes him far. When he hears or sees my car coming home, he’ll come running after it, sometimes starting hundreds of yards away from home.
He’s well known in the street; it’s not unknown for me to see him looking out of a neighbour’s window, having gate-crashed their cat flap.
